I had planned to perform a duo recital with Ken Watters at the University of Alabama. Shortly before, Hurricane Katrina struck and literally shook everyone up. I knew several musicians in New Orleans and fortunately all were ok. I was able to bring Victor Atkins up from NOLA, to perform with Ken and I. This concert was a testament to the fortitude of all as they worked to rebuild the area hit by the storm.
